Early Years had a special visitor this morning!

Pantomime Time!

We would like to give a special thank you to, Tred Productions for coming into school and putting on the best pantomime for EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

They performed Beauty and the Beast with a twist and helped us all get into the Christmas spirit!

A fantastic time was had by all!

School Orienteering Day:

All of the children that participated in our 'electronic timing' orienteering sessions yesterday had a fabulous and fun time - many children keep requesting to see our West Hill leaderboard and so here is the link:

No matter where our children placed on the leaderboard, we are proud of them all for applying their orienteering skills to our school grounds and co-operating with a partner or working as a team throughout.

A special thank you to our Year 6 house captains who supported our younger pupils in Foundation Stage and Year 1. Here is a message from Mr Barratt and Miss Tattersall:
"Just wanted to pass our thanks on to the very helpful play leaders yesterday. They were all very supportive, mature, and really helped our pupils navigate the school grounds 🙂"

Year 6 Visit Kingsmead for Heart Dissection:

Year 6 have visited Kingsmead to take part in a hands-on science practical as part of the Chasing The Future partnership.

Guided by Dr Thacker and Mr Hardy, they explored the fascinating world of dissections—a perfect way to support their Science in class. There were wide eyes and lots of curious questions as they got a taste of what Science lessons will look like when they transition to Secondary school. Equal parts squeamish and enthralled, they showed fantastic enthusiasm and bravery!
