West Hill Primary School

Remembrance Day Across Our School

 "We will remember them."

We have taken part and held many commemoration ceremonies across our Hednesford Hill's Federation and wider community.  Please see the articles and images below held over the last week , including our World War 1  Remembrance Dedication from Trinity Methodist Church in our office/reception area.

The whole school took part in a remembrance service joined by veterans and children from Hednesford Nursery School.

Eight of our Year 6 children (who have been using the ancestry website in their history lessons  to research the lives of several local men who went to the front during the First World War) attended The Parish of Hednesford Remembrance Service on Sunday 10th November as representatives of West Hill. They were superb role models: they arrived smartly dressed brandishing their poppies, and were very polite and respectful throughout the service. Together they laid a wreath at the memorial site on behalf of our school.

It was lovely to see so many West Hill pupils at the service, either in their roles as a Scout, Brownie, Rainbow, Cub or Squirrel, but also those attending with parents and family.
