Pre-School Enjoy Forest Schools Session 2

"Teaching children about the natural world should be treated as one of the most important events in their lives"

Caterpillars and Bumblebees have explored high and low in their second forest school session. The children have been mark making shapes, letters and even their names using chalk on different objects in the woodland garden. They even enjoyed taking part in a physical teamwork game called ' The Fox and the Rabbit'. Within the game the children understood the rules of turn taking and also made relationships by helping each other in their teams.
Our forest school leader Miss Blackburn gathered the children all together and explained that she had found a mini beast under the rocks. The children all responded, "it's a worm". The children showed confidence as they held the mini beast and discussed what if felt like, where they live and what they might eat. :
