The Lost Words

Our pupils have began, in their first week, focusing on a book called ‘The Lost Words’ by Robert Macfarlane. This is a gorgeous, hand-illustrated, large-format spellbook celebrating the magic and wonder of the natural world and the words that no longer appear in the Oxford Dictionary (for example:Acorn and Weasel). 

This has inspired Maths, English and Art lessons—to name a few….
