Week of 23.11.21

To celebrate nursery rhyme week last week, and raise awareness for children in need, Ants class explored a variety of activities and got dressed up for the occasion! On Thursday, we explored different activities linked to nursery rhymes, as well as singing some of our favourites during group time. They made ‘incey wincey spider’ and ‘Twinkle, twinkle little star’ collages on the creative table, practiced counting up to 5 on the math table with the ‘five little space men’, and worked on their fine motor skills in the writing area, mark making on ‘Baa baa black sheep’ pencil control sheets.

On Friday, the children dressed up to raise awareness for children in need. We explained to the children, as simply as we could, what children in need was and who it helped. The children enjoyed engaging in different activities, including polka-dot finger painting on Pudsey’s eye patch, a Pudsey dot-to-dot in the writing area and Pudsey playdough exploration outside. Well done to all the children in Ants class for another great week
